NY Arabic orchestra

The NY Arabic Orchestra was incepted in 2007 by April Centrone and Bassam Saba, nonprofit 501.c3 organization specializing in the performance and education of classical and contemporary Arabic music in the NY metropolitan area and northeast. The NYAO has held concerts in venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and has led workshops around the world.  The NYAO has touched thousands of students lives, from adult enthusiasts and music-school students to underprivileged children in refugee camps.  Saba, who has worked with the greats across genres including Fairouz, Marcel Khalife, Ziad Rahbani, Yo-Yo Ma, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Sting, Alicia Keys and Santana, brings his flavor into the NYAO with his original compositions.
